Margalla Enclave Underpass & Road Access

Two different roads, two different builders, one missed date. What is confirmed about getting in and out of Margalla Enclave.

People search “Margalla Enclave underpass” because the road is the thing that decides whether a plot on paper becomes a house you can drive to. Here is what is built by whom, what was promised when, and what we could not confirm.

Underpass status read 9 September 2026. Jinnah Avenue status is a dealer report (margallaenclavedha.com, August 2026), not press.

The underpass, plainly

The underpass on Park Road is a CDA piece of infrastructure, not part of DHA’s internal roadwork. Its stated opening target was 30 July 2026. It did not open on that date. A DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi post referred to the miss; a property publication had already flagged the date as unconfirmed before it arrived. As of 9 September 2026 we found no news article confirming an opening or a new date.

What that affects: Park Road-side access. What it does not affect: the Jinnah Avenue frontage that DHA itself controls. If a dealer tells you the underpass is “done”, ask which day they drove through it.

Single-sourced. The miss is referenced by DHA’s own page and one publication, not by a newspaper. We publish it because the target date was public and has passed; we label it because that is the standard of evidence.

Jinnah Avenue, Kuri Road, and the names people search

The corridor is Jinnah Avenue (formerly Kuri Road). Older maps, older listings and most locals still say Kuri Road; DHA’s material says Jinnah Avenue. They are the same road. The scheme sits in CDA Zone IV, Islamabad with Chak Shahzad, Bani Gala, Bahria Enclave, Park View City, Park Enclave as neighbours, and the environmental assessment fixes the site at 33°41′46.00″N, 73°10′40.58″E. Location, with the coordinates on a map.

Ring Road, interchange, bypass: what we could not find

Searches for a “Margalla Enclave interchange” or “Margalla Enclave bypass” are common. We found no primary document — not the EIA, not DHA’s portal, not a CDA notice — that names a dedicated interchange for the scheme on the Islamabad Ring Road. Until one exists, price the plot on the two roads above and treat any interchange story as a hope, not a feature.

DHA’s drive-time claims

  • 5 minutes to Srinagar Highway
  • 8 minutes to Faizabad
  • 10 minutes to Zero Point

These come from the project site and are labelled as marketing. Drive them yourself, at the time of day you would actually commute, before you decide what “close to Islamabad” is worth to you.
