Possession has been delivered once: on 21 May 2026, on selected streets of block ME-2. No possession date has been announced for ME-1, ME-3, ME-4 or the Lake District as of 9 September 2026. The portal’s hero banner says “POSSESSION DELIVERED IN JUST 11 MONTHS”; FAQ 6 on the same page, asked “Is it a developed project or non-developed?”, answers “Under-development.”.

The “11 months” claim
Eleven months back from 21 May 2026 lands in June 2025 — after the first ballot (24 Feb 2025) and before the second booking round. It reconciles with neither ballot date, so we carry it as DHA’s framing rather than as arithmetic. The delivered streets are real; the speed claim is a slogan.
What “possession” means on a DHA file
- Allotment letter — under clause 8 of the form, only a lump-sum payer receives an allotment letter; instalment payers hold “intimation rights” until fully paid. File vs plot is that distinction.
- Possession letter — issued by DHA when the street is developed and dues are clear. It is a separate document from allotment.
- Physical possession — demarcation on the ground. On 21 May 2026 this happened for selected ME-2 streets only.
How to check a specific street
- Get the sector, street and plot number from the file and run them through the plot finder — it shows the street on DHA’s sheet and the plot numbers printed on it.
- Ask DHA’s transfer office (UAN +92 51 111-555-400, ext. 1307) whether a possession letter has been issued for that street. Get the answer in writing.
- Drive the street. Development on the master plan and development on the ground are two different things, and the second is the one you are paying for.
Roads and the underpass
Access from Park Road runs through the CDA-built Margalla Enclave underpass, Park Road, which opened to traffic in September 2026 (reported by ProPakistani and Islamabad Scene) after missing its 30 July 2026 target. The Jinnah Avenue frontage is DHA’s own road and was never affected. Underpass & road access.
Questions
When will Margalla Enclave give possession?
For ME-2, selected streets already have it (21 May 2026). For the other four blocks DHA has announced no date as of 9 September 2026. Anyone quoting one is guessing.
Is Margalla Enclave a developed or non-developed project?
DHA's own FAQ answers "Under-development.". Parts of ME-2 are developed; the scheme as a whole is not.
Can I build on my Margalla Enclave plot now?
Only with a possession letter for that street and DHA's building approval. For most of the scheme that is not yet available.
